My stepdaughter Pam and I headed to some of our old stomping grounds in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This was a nice weekend retreat for both of us.

We met up with our friend, Rick Fisher (and his girl friend Marilyn) from the Paranormal Society of Pennsylvania to do a bit of battleground EVP. The first stop was Triangular Field, where Rick tried his new sound amplifier. Honestly, it is quite a little gadget. He held the tip of the microphone over his watch and it sounded like a drum. What a neat little item to amplify whispers and very low vocals. I headed down the trail with my Olympus digital recorder and asked for someone to talk with me.

Both Rick and I were fortunate that our equipment did not fail here. So many people trying to photograph or record here have battery failure.

We rode through some other areas of the battlefield and how nice to do this in daylight so I could get some fantastic pictures. From there we headed to Sachs Covered Bridge. I know a ghost investigator cannot rely on scents, feelings and eyewitness reports, but I honestly smelled old saddle leather inside the bridge. I had experienced the same odor once before when I was there in the dead of winter at night. I captured a couple of daylight orbs that were faint and I truly will dismiss them as dust.

Since we have returned home and I analyzed my pictures and sounds, I found a very low EVP on my recorder. It says, "I told you so." I will not post it on the website as it is very difficult to get the volume up enough to enjoy it. Rick emails me that he too, got some EVP's on the Triangular Field.

As Pam and I left Sunday morning, we rode out to Cashtown for a few photos. That is such a haunted place and we might have to stay there some time.

For the short amount of time invested in our outing, I was pleased to have both of us get an EVP. It was a wonderful trip to the golden ghost world of Gettysburg.
