Once again the wonderful Halloween season has come and gone at our special place...the Avenel Plantation House in

Bedford, Virginia.

An Open House was held with refreshments, a book signing by Joe Tenis, two paranormal groups who were invited

as well as our group.

We, Ghostec had a nice time. We will always do what we can to contribute to care and maintain this beautiful old home.

It is such a stunning place and we are proud to associated with her and her ghosts.

It was a pleasure to meet a couple of paranormal groups at Avenel. One group is the Sisters of Salem, Virginia.

Very congenial and have like mind ideals and goals in the scientific field of the paranormal.

The other group was Among Us-MidAtlantic Paranormal Investigators, also very cordial and of like minds in

their efforts as well.

To these groups, new to us, we wish you well and keep up the good work.

Sue Sereno- Founder of Ghost Hunters of Southern East Coast

Welcome, both of you, to the hardest job you will ever love.

Gary, Nanci and Sue of Ghostec had a pleasant surprise encounter with a Production crew from Rome, Italy. They wanted to do a bit of filming of us in Avenel Plantation House, in Bedford, Virginia. They filmed a bit downstairs and then in the dark for EVPs in the Lee room.

They were so cordial and nice to us. They are Fulvia D'Ottavi, Fulvio Benelli (director) and Marco Ricchello (camera man). Their Production Company is Oyibo Productions and they have been in lots of places in the U.S. filming. In Bedford, they had hoped to fine out more concerning the Beale Treasure. Their plane back to Rome leaves on the 18th of this month. The director told me this will air on their Prime Time.

To them we say, "Grazie Mille" or for us a thanks a million. We had the chance to meet the three of them, starting from right to the left. We did not meet the other two gentlemen,

Sue Sereno

In this picture they were doing a documentary on a mysterious house in Lima, Peru.

Ghostec helped to host the Avenel Open House festivities on Oct. 27th,2011 at 7 pm. Refreshments were served.

Large turn out and a nice evening.

Sue was asked to guest speak at the Seven Hills Paranormal Society meeting by Tara Bryant, the SHPS founder. The group was welcoming and warm to me and the four Ghostec members who came out in my support.

The meeting was held in a beautiful Library building in Forest, Virginia. We met in a private meeting room and it was quiet. That was very nice.

It was fun to discuss whether there is a decline in ghost beliefs and why. We chatted about water being a conduit the ghostly activity. We also talked briefly about analog records vs digitals. We also talked about 35mm cameras vs. digital. And... of course, I shared some of my own ghost experiences with the group.

It was nice to have an interactive group that participated with questions. It was good to chat with like minds also, who investigate from a scientific level.

We ended the meeting with the sale of some of my books. Thank you for that!

Thank you SHPS for the great evening!!!

Hauntingly,

Sue

The paranormal conference in Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania was delightful. Opening the conference was the owner of Bubes Brewery, Sam Allen, sharing the wonderfully rich history of the Brewery. Such a nice person and served delicious treats, drinks and food for the entire day. The old Brewery/hotel is been kept alive with period décor to match its history.

This was Rick Fisher's 8th Paranormal Conference. His research and active participation within the realm of the paranormal is only surpassed by his intense interest to bring honest data to the field. He spoke to the group about the hoaxes that go on in the television programs about ghosts. He suggested they are okay to watch for entertainment, but revealed fraudulent acts made to excite the thrill seekers only. As he spoke, he showed very compelling prove in his visual clips of various paranormal shows. Rick runs the Paranormal Society of Pennsylvania. Good job Rick!

And, I would like to add the tremendous work of Rick's girlfriend Marilyn Shultz.

Marilyn assumes the quiet supporter behind Rick. She is a hard worker for the causes Rick presents. She is thoughtful and had beautiful baskets of Pennsylvania goodies awaiting the speakers in their hotel rooms. Thank you Marilyn, for all you do!

Rick has published a book, Ghosts of the River Towns and is working on a second one about Ouija Boards. This one will be a collaborative effort with Rosemary Ellen Guiley.

Kelly Weaver was the next speaker. Kelly is a gifted Psychic/Medium, an author and teacher who enlightened us with how you can discover your past lives, what personality you are and how you may correct things in life after life. Kelly not only shared this information, but gave handouts for the entire group. Kelly, along with her husband John runs The Spirit Society of Pennsylvania, a large group of like minds. She also has meditation CDs and her wonderful book entitled "Whispers in the Attic, Living with the Dead". Kelly also does readings that help people find their path in life.

She and her husband John share a love of art and history. John is also a MUFON Field Investigator.

They are a dynamic duo!

After a nice break and lunch, Karl Petry took the podium. Karl is a Clairvoyant; he uses Psychometry and tunes in the past with Retro cognition. He is very accurate. He used a case history for his topic; the Daisy case from beginning to end. Karl is easy to listen to and his wife Sue assists him with the slideshows or movie clips he shares with the crowd. Karl is also an independent filmmaker. He has several movies for sale, including The Ghosts of Angela Webb, Ironbound Vampires, Requiem for a Vampire, The Larksville Ghost and The Haunting of Danbury House. Karl is also a paranormal investigator. Karl has worked with many groups, displaying his talents in remote viewing and psychic abilities to help with homicides, missing people and kidnappings.

Then, it was my turn to talk about your belief in ghosts. It was great fun and I was honored to share the dais with such great paranormal speaker/participators. Rick gave me a copy of the Haunt Hunters handbook for the psychic investigator. What a treat as I was a member of the Haunt Hunters back in the early 1980s. My thanks to Sue Petry for working my little CD of pictures on the big screen and the glass of ice cold water that saved me from beginning to cough. I have two books, Ghosts? I Think So! and Ghosts? Maybe!

The last speaker of the day was a delightful person, Craig Telesha, known as the gadget guy, a man who fix just about anything. Craig will entertain and enlighten you with his knowledge of how things work and most of all how you can adapt them into working paranormal tools. He will show you with illustrations and photos how to adapt most anything you can find into a useful tool. Craig has also published a book entitled "Strange Frequencies, A Practical Guide to Paranormal Technology". He is the Technical Director for the Spirit Society of Pennsylvania. He is relaxed, humorous and full of paranormal information.

I will add one more tid-bit before I close. The weather was beautiful and warm, making our stay in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania a delight. The rolling fields were starting to be green; some of the trees are budding and some flowering. The area is a lovely place to be and seems to welcome you. The people are genuine and warm. It was a trip my husband and I will always remember. I would also like to thank Ghostec members Gary and Nanci for being there. It was a comfort to see them and know part of the Ghostec team was there to support me. Also, I was especially glad to have my husband Gene there.
