These are the rules we follow on investigations. If you wish to conduct your own investigations, you may wish to follow these to increase the chances of getting evdence.

1. Always ask permission to ghost hunt on property that is not yours, and always be respectful of such property.

2. Always ask the spirits for permission to photograph or tape them. Just because they are not always visible, does not mean they are not there. Many times results have been better when the spirits's permission was asked first.

3. Do not allow loud talking and horseplay on an investigation.

4. Go on your investigation with a positive attitude. Being negative or angry draws like energies.

5. Full and new moons are great for ghost hunting. Watch for Solar storms and active geomagnetic fields.

6. Watch the weather. Know how your camera perceives dust, rain, snow, fog, and pollen. It is best to avoid such conditions if at all possible. If it is windy and cold, you might get your own breath in a picture. Do not smoke as it shows up in looking like "spirit activity" in photographs.Do not take pictures into a mirror, shiny surface, or the Sun as there is the risk of lens flare. Make sure the camera strap and fingers are out of lens range.

7. Do not allow or condone smoking, drinking, or the use of drugs on investigations.

8. Always ensure that your camera lens are clean and clear of possible dust and debris before taking pictures. Also, if you are not using a digital camera, always utilize fresh film.

9. When taking pictures at night using your flash, try not to exceed the 9-12 foot average camera flash distance.

10. If you do not have access to a digital recorder, use an external microphone to avoid picking up the mechanical noises, and always use a new tape when attempting to record Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). Re-recording over a tape is not good idea as what was recorded before might remain on the tape, even if you erase it, and any results you get will not be taken seriously.

11. Always maintain a supply of fresh batteries for your camera, recorder, etc. when on an investigation. Be sure someone has a cell phone also. NEVER ghost hunt alone.

12. We do not recommend the use of Ouija Boards, Seances, or the specific use of Psychics on an investigation. We will however, consider any impressionistic information from our team after the scientific portion has been finished.
