Bubes Brewery was purchased in 1876 by Alois Bube and made into a fine brewery. It closed just prior to prohibition, but family members kept it as it was. Restoration started in 1968 and continues today. It is the neatest old place, and haunted!
Chickies Rock Park, about a half hour from the capital, once held a thriving industrial community less than a hundred years ago. There were iron furnaces, rock crushers, sawmills, railroads, and the PA canal. It is in ruins now and said to be haunted.
On a very rushed and crowded weekend, Gary was met at Bubes’ Brewery by Rick Fisher, founder of Pennsylvania Paranormal Society. With Rick were Craig, Josh and Emily, all from Rick’s group. How nice of them to take time out of their schedules to meet up with a Ghostec member and offer their time at Bubes.
Here are Gary’s thoughts:
“I met with Rick Fisher, Craig, Josh and Emily from the Pennsylvania Paranormal Society, September 13 at 7:30AM. I worked mostly in the catacombs of the brewery and did a walk through the catacombs, the brewery and the hotel itself, except for the 3rd floor of the hotel. I used the Swan DVR, 2 of the Sony night shots, Olympus digital recorders and my Tri-field meter. I have not finished all the reviewing.
Then, Rick took Josh, Emily and me to an old cemetery where I filmed with the Sony. From there we went to Chickies Rock. I did recordings at the base of the rock. We all walked all the way on a trolley line to a railroad tunnel. Rick pointed out some interesting features like the forge and site of the old mansion.
We went back to Bubes to get my car around 11:15AM."

More will be added after all the tapes and recorders are reviewed.
