Location: "Haunted Trail Of Horrors"

Date: October, 2009

City: Kenton

State: Ohio

I had the opportunity to visit with Cork and Wanda Conrad of Kenton, Ohio.  During the Halloween season they turn a part of their property into the "Haunted Trail Of Horrors." As the sun goes down and the night falls, their woods become the home of monsters, ghouls and goblins. The woods were the reason for my visit and to do an investigation.

Speaking with Wanda, I found that they had brought the property from the daughter of the previous owner. The home was over a hundred years old and Wanda's daughter once saw her  great grandmother sitting in her favorite chair a day after she had died. While remodeling, the house caught fire and burnt down. The Conrad's rebuilt and live there today. For the past ten years they have had "The Haunted Trail" during the Halloween season. Wanda had taken pictures of an area of the trail and had a strange mist show up in one of them. So Wanda, our friend Bill Adams and myself went to this certain spot. I handed Wanda my K-II meter and showed her how to use it.  I used my digital recorder and started asking questions. No sooner had the first question been asked, the lights on the meter started lighting up. I introduced myself and asked if there was someone with us and if so to please light up the meter again.  Again, the meter lit up. Several questions later, Wanda, Bill and I were excited that we had received so many responses.

Leaving the area we walked to one of the spots known as "The Toxic Room". As we entered the small shack, Bill was getting ready to show me something when I felt a tap on the top of my head.  Turning to Wanda I asked her if she had touched my head. Knowing Bill was in front of me, I knew he couldn't have done it. Wanda said she had not touched me and we all started looking above and around me. Bill ran his hand above my head and there was nothing to be found.  Looking at both of them I said "Well, something touched my head and they want us to know they're here."  Maybe whatever made the K-II meter flashed had followed us into this room.

We headed back to the building where we were to meet with Dan Robinson. reporter with the Kenton Times Newspaper. Mr. Robinson interviewed me on what we found and asked questions about Ghostec and my visit to The Trail.

From photos taken and other evidence gathered, I believe Wanda does have activity on her property. Although it cannot be known who or what may be there, I feel as  it is a friendly spirit. Being the Halloween season it makes it's presence known either by showing up in photos or touching you.  I also feel as it is an asset to the "Haunted Trail of Horrors."  Maybe one of the guests making they're way through the darken path will also have a chance to meet it.  Or maybe it will TOUCH them!

While I was in Kenton, Ohio my friend Bill Adams and I went to Grove Cemetery to look around. Strangely, as we were about to enter, a funeral procession made it's way into the cemetery. Being respectful of the family we went to the opposite end. A large, old stone chapel sat at the end of the drive way as we walked by it to reach grave sites. Dates from the late 1700's and 1800's to the present were found. We noticed a lot of American flags on veterans graves from Labor Day had been placed. We did several recording, used the EMF meter and the K-II meter but nothing showed up. Although the wind was blowing hard there was a peaceful feeling as we walked passed grave after grave. Maybe the spirits were being respectful and remaining quiet as another one was joining them that day. It was not the time for making their presence known, this day was for the one entering.
